A BIT ABOUT ME
Sonayja "Sonii" Hercules is a 28 year old Brooklyn native. growing up in east Flatbush, there was never a dull moment in her imagination. She started way back in kindergarten, perfecting her penmanship, that's when she discovered her love and curiosity of visual designs.
In 2010, Sonayja became a tattoo apprentice for a well-respected tattoo shop in Fort Greene while attending NYC College of Technology for Art & Advertising Design.
From there a new interest awakened in Sonayja, makeup. Currently, Sonii is a licensed cosmetologist graduating from Empire Beauty School in Manhattan and certified in fundamental beauty makeup from Carsten Institute of Cosmetology. She also has experience in skincare and knowledge of the skins functions.
Sonii has thus far worked with talents such as Dallas Logan (photographer) and Francesca André (photographer) with Optic 21 Studios. She has also done short films with actress, filmmaker, and writer Nike Kadri. She has also had the pleasure of working with 2015 Runners World cover search winner Michelle Hercules.
Sonii is versatile with her style and seeks to continue elevating. She hopes to take her artistry further into editorial, TV / film and special effects and stand out for her unique aesthetics and outlook on life.
